The Treatment
IV Drips
IV Drips are a way of delivering vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other supportive nutrients directly into the bloodstream through a small intravenous line. Because the digestive system is bypassed, the body can use the nutrients more efficiently, which is why IV therapy has become an established part of medical wellness.
IV drips are widely available, but most are sold from pre-set menus, with little clinical reasoning behind the choice. At 23MD, the formulation is the conversation: what your body actually needs, what your bloodwork shows, what fits within the wider plan we are building with you. Done well, IV therapy is a useful, targeted tool. Done generically, it is an expensive way to feel briefly hydrated.

About
What it is, how it works.
How it works
After a consultation and any relevant bloodwork, your doctor designs a formulation specific to you, for example, a recovery-focused mix, an immune-support mix, or an antioxidant-rich longevity formulation. The drip is administered in clinic over 30–60 minutes through a small cannula in the arm. You can rest, read, or work during the session.
