Emsculpt - Build Muscle, Burn Fat

Emsculpt ™ the first FDA approved nonsurgical device that builds muscle while also burning fat. Emsculpt ™ is unlike any other treatment on the market. The non-invasive HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic) technology induces 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions in 30 minutes – these contractions are equivalent of performing 20,000 sit-ups or squats within 30 minutes. That’s about the same amount that can be accomplished over the course of 100 workouts.

The treatment takes a fraction of the time of traditional exercise and there is no surgery or downtime required. The device is approved for use on the abs and butt with smaller attachments used to sculpt the arms (biceps and triceps), calves, and the thighs.  The quick results achieved with Emsculpt ™ may provide the motivation that some men and women need to keep up their regular workout schedule and healthy eating habits. It is also very effective post pregnancy as it has been proven to reduce diastisis recti (abdominal separation commonly caused by pregnancy) by 12%.

During the treatment the patient is comfortably laying down on the bed with a paddle like device strapped around their abdomen or buttocks. The contractions are induced by a small electrical current applied across the muscle. The intensity of these contractions can be adjusted based on patient preferrence and tolerability.

At first you might feel subtle tightening of muscles but as the intensity increases extreme gripping and upward pull can be felt. At this point you can actually see the muscles rise up from your abdomen which can be strangely satisfying.

 

After the treatment the patient can return straight back to their regular activities as there is no downtime. In fact, some patients schedule their appointments during their lunch hour and return to work immediately afterward. It is not unusual to feel a bit sore following an Emsculpt session, just as you might after a rigorous workout.

To achieve optimal results, it is recommended that patients schedule a total of four-eight Emsculpt sessions, spaced 2-3 days apart, over a period of two weeks. Although you likely will feel the results of Emsculpt as soon as your initial treatment is complete, it usually takes 2-4 weeks following your final session to begin witnessing more defined contours. Follow-up sessions may be scheduled every 1-2 months to maintain the fantastic results.
