Anti-wrinkle injections work by gently relaxing the small muscles that create expression lines, the ones that gradually etch into the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes. Used well, they soften those lines without changing how your face moves.

Tiny amounts of a purified medical protein are placed into specific muscles. Over the next 1–2 weeks, the treated muscles relax, not freeze, which allows the skin above to settle and the lines to soften. The effect lasts around 3–4 months as the body naturally restores normal muscle activity.
